Source: The Sedalia Democrat, Sedalia, Mo.儲存Dec. 16--Christmas Art Spirits past, present and future will rest easy now with a holiday miracle that began Thursday night for the Liberty Center Association for the Arts.Housed in the familiar yellow brick building in downtown Sedalia, formerly known as the Lona Theater when it was built in 1920, the venue will be seeing some changes in the coming year. In a fundraising kickoff in the Hotel Bothwell's Ballroom Thursday evening, Ed Watkins announced a six-figure donation to LCAA, given by Joe Fischer, a local community leader and philanthropist.Fischer's gift will propel LCAA into a new era by unifying and expanding the local arts community with the renovation and expansion of the existing building, bringing it up to ADA specifications, along with new gallery additions. The expansion will also create a collaboration between LCAA and the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art at State Fair Community College.Watkins, of St. Peters, is the campaign manager for LCAA's "Next Stage Capital Campaign." Watkins previously was manager for the Trails End Project.Watkins said the approximately $1 million project will be done in two phases. The first phase will take in the downstairs portion along with a new addition costing around $800,000. The second phase will be upstairs at a cost of $200,000."We're going to have an addition that will knock your socks off," Watkins told the group of approximately 56.Also speaking Thursday night were Mayor Elaine Horn, Fischer, LCAA Executive Director Terri Ballard and Daum Museum of Contemporary Art Director and LCAA board member Tom Piche."I've often wandered through the building, and wondered if the building could talk, if the walls could talk, what they would say," Ballard said. "I'm sure they would speak of the fun people have had, the friendships that have been formed, the talent that has performed on its stages, and even a visit by Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. Over time the building has been neglected and we were close to shutting our doors, but thankfully we have some board members who said they weren't going to let this happen on their watch. For the first time in a long time the future of the Liberty Center looks bright. I'm sure tonight the old building does stand a little taller, and beckons us once again. We ask that you join us in making this facility the majestic place it once was.""... I'm certainly passionate about the arts and its importance to any community, but especially to our community," Fischer added. "We have an amazing group of people in the arts, in all forms, that are deeply rooted in Sedalia. They make our life that much richer ... but we truly have here in Sedalia, what I've been referring to as an art mecca, the means to draw many people to our community to enjoy the arts."After speaking, Fischer introduced Piche to the group."I'm happy to express the museum's support for the renovation project for the Liberty Arts Center," Piche said. "And to welcome the sister institution to Sedalia. I'm especially excited about the potential growth that a state-of-the-art exhibition facility will have on the arts in our community. I'm also excited about the opportunity this addition presents for the Daum Museum -- for collaborations between the Daum and the Liberty Center, for advice, but also to have periodic exhibition space in historic downtown Sedalia."Liberty Center: a historical lookThe building first opened Aug. 12, 1920, as the Lona Theater which could originally seat 1,500 people. The entrance faced Ohio Ave., where Fitter's Fifth Street Pub is now. The theater was built by a group of businessmen who together raised $200,000 for the construction. On Oct. 9, 1920, vice presidential candidate Franklin D. Roosevelt and his wife Eleanor paid a visit to the Lona and spoke to a full house.By 1928 the Lona became a movie theater and was renamed the Liberty Theater. But in 1958, the proud, once bustling building was sold to Beatrice Foods and became silenced as warehouse for cottage cheese and ice cream. Eventually the building was donated to the city, who in turn gave it to the Sedalia Community Theater.Community Theater members Ginger Swearingen and Jim Giokaris and architect Neal Rayburn called for community support to fund and restore the building. The first fundraiser for the building was hosted in 1983, and once again the Liberty Center was filled with artistic activity and creative life.In 1991 California artist Will Nettleship created the sidewalk sculpture outside the Liberty Center, known as the "Queen of the Prairie." At present the Lona has morphed into the Liberty Center Association for the Arts, which works to enrich the Sedalia area through its arts programs, live theater productions, art exhibits, art classes and musical concerts.Once again it's time for the building to expand its artistic life-force.LCAA moves into a new eraA week before the announcement, the Democrat spoke with Watkins, Fischer and LCAA Director Terri Ballard."Joe and the Fischer family are making a $100,000 commitment for the kickoff for the campaig迷你倉," Watkins said.Fischer has always been a strong supporter of the arts in Sedalia community; he recently became involved with the LCAA board and decided it was time to act. Watkins said the kick-off is about public awareness to share Fischer's vision."The first time I met Joe, was such a delightful experience because he started educating me about this area, this region of the country being an art mecca," Watkins said. "I loved that concept."Ballard said there have always been issues with the steep stairs at LCAA that lead to the art galleries and theater entrance. The addition and revisions will correct those issues."Joe Fischer had the wonderful idea that in lieu of an elevator why don't we address an addition on the west side of the building," Ballard said. "Which would open it up and add some extra gallery space and modernize our bathrooms. In the assessment it was kind of elevator versus handicap accessible, and being handicap accessible doesn't always mean you have to have an elevator."The 90-foot long by 20-foot wide addition will add an indoor handicap entrance to the theater by the use of ramps."He's been working with (Robert) Rollings Architects to come up with a plan," she said. "Our concession lounge area will come downstairs. Something I'm really excited about is, we'll still have local gallery space, but we will also be partnering with the Daum Museum to show pieces from that gallery as well," she added. "The original staircase is encased inside of the wall so we're going to get rid of the double staircase and just have one grand staircase.""There is right now, an opening in the brick wall that was bricked shut and it has an arch," Fischer said. "So instead of the stairs we have here, we'll have a single set of stairs to access the offices upstairs. A major issue is ADA and ADA accessibility and we have to address that. This is going to address that, so we'll have some ramps here with a difference in elevation from here to there of 20 inches, so we'll have two 10-foot ramps."Downstairs, the existing office area will become the bar and lounge. The box office area will become the local art gallery, and the box office will be located where the left staircase is now.At the present time, the refurbished downstairs will be renamed the Fischer Family Galleries, Ballard and Watkins said."And that will be this whole area as you walk in," Watkins added. "We're going to redo all of that, and we're going to open up as much as we can."The new addition will be accessed to the west near the existing downstairs women's bathroom. It will feature two additional galleries that can be locked, to protect artwork when LCAA isn't open. New ADA specific men's and women's bathrooms will be located there, as well as a ramp system leading to the theater.Fischer said the galleries in the new portion will have controlled lighting to protect the paintings, and there will also be bricked archways."These windows will be open," he added, pointing to a floor layout plan. "So that you have the sidewalk traffic looking into the gallery space -- it's inviting, it'll create a buzz just by being there. Plus it makes this side of the building look so much nicer than it is now.""Nothing for public purposes will be upstairs anymore," Ballard added.Upstairs will feature the director's office, a conference room, a small kitchen and storage space. The theater lighting area will also be pulled back into the revised second story, leaving more room for seating in the theater's top rear area."We also have other issues that are very important to the building," Fischer said. "Such as securing the building, tuck pointing and whatever needs to be required to secure the roof, and basically we'll be able to extend the life of this building by many, many years. That's a huge part of it -- it's at a critical point so we have to do this. It's just an amazing building and we need to do what we can to secure that.""I think the whole concept here is going to enhance everything, the Depot, everything is going to be enhanced by this facility," Watkins said. "This is a blessing beyond blessings to this community."Raising the money is paramount before the actual construction begins, although the group is hoping to break ground by July or August of 2014."We'll have a six-month campaign, it will be all year long, but basically the biggest part of it will be the first six months. That's when we'll be raising significant dollars," Watkins said."You can see the immediate needs," Fischer said. "I can see things happening here prior to construction, once we reach a certain number."The first funds would go toward securing the building, he added."So here we are at the third round in this building's life, of going back to the community to champion its cause," added Ballard. "I think it's exciting, the timing is perfect. By the time this is all done, we'll be ready to have our 100th anniversary in 2020."Copyright: ___ (c)2013 The Sedalia Democrat (Sedalia, Mo.) Source: The Philadelphia InquirerDec.自存倉 16--The message came through loud and clear: The buildings in the 2100 block of Market Street needed to come down, and their chief owner was growing impatient. He'd stopped by in late April and was "shocked" to see them still standing. The aide who passed that news along put shocked in capital letters.A new cache of e-mails tied to the Center City building collapse sheds light on one of the basic questions about the deadly June accident: why the owners pressed forward with plans to tear down a four-story brick building amid serious safety concerns about the one-story Salvation Army thrift shop next door. The e-mails exchanged by representatives of STB Investments Corp. offer clues to their thinking even as they were warning the city and the Salvation Army of the perils the demolition posed to the thrift shop and to its occupants. The e-mails are among many documents turned over to Philadelphia prosecutors as part of an ongoing grand jury investigation into the collapse. Here are some of the clues contained in those e-mails, copies of which The Inquirer obtained:Richard Basciano, the 87-year-old real estate investor who is the principal owner of STB of New York City, wanted things to move faster at the site -- and he visited in person to check up on it."Richard and his wife passed by . . . yesterday. He is SHOCKED that this project is not done," Thomas J. Simmonds Jr., property manager for Basciano, wrote on April 29 to Plato Marinakos Jr., the local architect who acted as STB's liaison to the demolition contractor.Marinakos had said the demolition work would be finished by the end of April. Now he told Simmonds it would be done by the first week of May. But the building at 2136-38 Market was still standing on May 31 when Basciano, according to other e-mails, checked again."Richard is on the phone now; he passed by the job site and observed no one working," Simmonds wrote to Marinakos and others on May 31. "Please advise -- he will be visiting the site over the weekend."Another e-mail reported that Basciano did visit the site that weekend, on Sunday, June 2. That time, "Richard and his wife stopped by and seemed please[d]," Marinakos reported to Simmonds. "I am glad he saw more progress today."That same weekend, without notice to the Salvation Army, the demolition contractor had brought in an 18-ton motorized excavator -- "that yellow machine," a thrift shop employee later called it. "If they had told us they were going to rip the building down with a machine like that, the Salvation Army would have done something," the charity's lawyer, Eric A. Weiss, has said.Caught between a demanding owner and the pace of the demolition project, Basciano's New York property manager, Simmonds, fumed at delays in negotiations over safety plans by "these people and their half-baked charity" -- the Salvation Army -- at a time when "I have to look after the interests of the Owners."Thomas A. Sprague, one of the attorneys representing Basciano and STB, declined to comment on the new set of e-mails. Simmonds and others who sent or received the e-mails declined to comment directly or through their lawyers. The e-mails are now part of the evidence that led to this finding in the grand jury's presentment, released Nov. 27:"E-mails and testimonial evidence reveal that by the end of May 2013, Basciano and STB staff were aggressively pushing for demolition progress on the 2136-38 Market St. building."The presentment went on to cite testimony Marinakos gave after being granted immunity from prosecution. The architect told grand jurors of a June 4 meeting with the demolition contractor, Griffin Campbell, who faces criminal charges in the collapse.Campbell had incentives of his own for speeding the project along. He had a $112,000 contract with STB to demolish three buildings on that block of Market, where Basciano wanted to build an upscale residential development, a gateway to Center City. Campbell had already torn down the two smaller structures, collecting $71,000, and hoped for another progress payment.Marinakos said Campbell telephoned him the day before the collapse."Griffin called me and said . . . he wanted to put in an application for payment and he wanted me to take some progress迷你倉photographs and show how the progress is going, to kind of alleviate the push from the owner to get it done," the architect testified.Marinakos said he went to the site about 6 p.m. June 4, and was alarmed to see the brick wall looming next to the Salvation Army building.By then, most of the wooden joists, flooring, and support beams had been removed, according to the presentment. The grand jury said Campbell was reselling the joists for $6 and $8 each.Marinakos testified he urged Campbell to take the wall down immediately: "I was like, 'Griffin, you can't leave this wall here. This is just crazy. I mean, you can't do that.' "After that, the grand jury presentment said, Campbell sent two workers up to take the wall down. But they had made little progress by the next morning.A slow negotiationA factor that has surfaced again and again in the aftermath of the fatal collapse is the drawn-out negotiations that took place between STB's representatives and the Salvation Army. The building owners wanted Campbell's demolition workers to get access to the thrift shop roof so they could knock down the adjacent brick wall; the charity wanted assurances no harm would come to its shop. The Basciano group had contacted the Salvation Army in February about the demolition plans. But three months and many e-mails later, little had been resolved, and the demolition of the four-story brick building next to the one-story thrift shop was underway. On May 22, Alex Wolfington, a real estate marketing consultant on the Basciano team, e-mailed Simmonds to suggest having another conversation with a Salvation Army executive about getting access to the shop roof. That prompted Simmonds to vent his frustration."Why?" he replied. "Waste more time? Wait for someone to be killed? You can do what you want but I am NOT backing off with these people and their half-baked charity. Perhaps you have the time and/or desire to 'deal' with their idiotic behavior: I don't and I won't. I have to look after the interests of the Owners -- Richard and his daughters."It was the second time that day a Simmonds e-mail had noted the danger. That afternoon, he had reached out to city Commerce Director Alan Greenberger, asking if the official could intervene with the Salvation Army.In that e-mail, disclosed by The Inquirer in July, Simmonds told Greenberger: "This nonsense must end before someone is seriously injured or worse: those are headlines none of us want to see or read."Greenberger, whose additional duties as deputy mayor for economic development included overseeing the city's Department of Licenses and Inspections, has since acknowledged he did not alert city inspectors to the dispute. He has said he believed STB and the Salvation Army were "working together to resolve the outstanding issues" by then. He cited an e-mail he received from Wolfington, sent less than an hour after Simmonds' message, saying the marketing consultant intended to meet with the Salvation Army on measures to protect the thrift shop building. In the end, the Basciano group and the Salvation Army never reached a final agreement. Campbell's demolition crew had already stripped the brick wall of most of its support timbers and flooring. On June 5, the wall collapsed, crushing the thrift shop with 19 people inside. Six of them died. The e-mails The Inquirer reviewed do not fully explain Basciano's interest in completing the project quickly. But there may be another clue in an April 23 e-mail from Marinakos to Simmonds, stating -- incorrectly, as it turned out -- that a high-reach boom was being brought in to enable workers to disassemble the building from the top down.In that e-mail, Marinakos told Simmonds: "They are taking the floors out board by board to reinstall in another building. This takes more time. By the end of the month, all the buildings will be gone."Basciano had planned to pave over the site and use it for surface parking while he prepared the block for redevelopment."We should be ready for asphalt soon after," Marinakos added in the April 23 e-mail. "I am getting prices for that."warnerb@phillynews.com215-854-5885Copyright: ___ (c)2013 The Philadelphia Inquirer Visit The Philadelphia Inquirer at .philly.com Distributed by MCT Information Servicesmini storage

They say information and contingency plans lacking after shutdown of Tseung Kwan O lineChaos reigned yesterday as MTR passengers travelling from East Kowloon and Sai Kung scrambled for alternative transport after the Tseung Kwan O line was shut down due to a power failure.迷你倉尖沙咀Many of those waiting on the platforms at Yau Tong station appeared confused by an announcement that the train service would be suspended for the whole day and passengers were told to leave the station immediately as it would be closed.Their patience had already been tested by a prolonged wait for trains, but previous messages had warned of a 10-minute service disruption because of power problems. There were chaotic scenes in Yau Tong, and elsewhere along the railway line. Frustrated passengers complained about the MTR’s poor arrangements for alternative transport and a lack of information.A long line of passengers stood clutching umbrellas in the driving rain outside Kwun Tong station, queuing for free shuttle buses to other stations. But some complained the buses were going to other stations affected by the shutdown. “What’s the point of sending us there?” one passenger asked an MTR employee in Kwun Tong, who did not reply.Taxis also proved elusive on a cold, wet day, with long queues at cab ranks along the line.Clerk Vicky Lam waited for over an hour for a taxi outside Kwun Tong station. She said the MTR staff did not seem to care about the predicament of stranded passengers. Lam said she had seen an elderly passenger asking about shuttle buses, and the MTR employee simply said the bus service wasn’t rmini storageady and they would have to make their own way. “They had no idea what bus to take,” Lam said. “The MTR needs to reflect on their attitude.”Tse Sit-lai, who was heading to Tseung Kwan O from Admiralty and had waited at the North Point station for half an hour, was furious about the MTR’s lack of contingency plans. He said the announcements were not loud enough, so many people didn’t know the service had been stopped until they got to an interchange point. He also said shuttle buses had only been provided at Kwun Tong station, and not North Point.Alvin Chan Lap-kwok said he was an hour late for work in Hang Hau after he was stranded in Kwun Tong. Chan said the company had improved its response to such incidents, but he was upset that there were frequent problems on the line.“Sometimes when I’m on the morning shift the train suddenly stops for a long time and I’m late,” Chan said. “Today I’m on the afternoon shift and again there’s a problem.”Another Hong Kong Island-bound passenger said she left Hang Hau station immediately after the announcement that the line would be suspended. “There was a rush for the exits and huge queues had already formed for taxis and buses,” she said, adding that she took a bus to Lohas Park and managed to find a taxi there.Jack Cheung Ki-tang, a district councillor for Yau Tong, said many passengers were disoriented when they arrived to find the station was closed. “The arrangements by the MTR were chaotic … a lot of people told me they had no idea what was happening when they got to the station.”Additional reporting by Carol Cheung and Edward Tang迷你倉

Source: Philadelphia Daily NewsDec.自存倉 16--MINNEAPOLIS -- A quick glance at the raw numbers give you the impression that the Eagles offense had a terrific day. They racked up 475 net yards yesterday, which was their fourth-best yardage total of the season. They converted 50 percent of third-down opportunities (7-for-14) for only the third time.Nick Foles threw for a career-high 428 yards and notched his fifth game with at least three touchdowns.DeSean Jackson had a career-high 10 catches and a season-high 195 receiving yards. For the seventh time this season, they scored 30 or more points. And lost by 18."We were just sloppy in all three phases of the game," left guard Evan Mathis said after his team's shocking, 48-30 loss to the Vikings."We didn't execute well," added wide receiver Jason Avant. "I thought the biggest drive of the game was our first one when they missed the field goal [a 55-yard attempt by Blair Walsh] and we went out there and went three and out."It seemed like we were playing from behind all day. We didn't run it well. We didn't run it much at all. Because of the situation we were in."When we had good field position, we got a couple of bad penalties, had a couple of plays that if we had them back, might've changed the outcome of the game."A week after he broke the team's 64-year-old, single-game rushing record, LeSean McCoy carried the ball just eight times, his fewest rushing attempts since he had seven in the Eagles' 2010, season-opening loss to the Packers ."We got down a little bit there and we really weren't moving them very well up front," Eagles coach Chip Kelly. "We tried to take advantage of some of the matchups in the passing game."You try to free up DeSean and those guys. I thought LeSean was a very good weapon in the passing game itself [five catches for 68 yards] with his screen passes and some of the underneath routes."But we didn't convert in the red zone (2-for-5), then we're down and it felt like we were down by two scores the whole time. We were just trying to get back into it."Make no mistake, the Eagles' defense lost this game. Bill Davis' unit, which had been so solid for the last 2 1/2 months, holding nine straight opponents to 21 points or less, imploded. But Kelly's offense squandered so many opportunities and came up small in several key situations that might've made a difference.A first-quarter red-zone sack that killed a drive and forced the Eagles to settle for one of Alex Henery's three field goals. A second-and-4 sack early in the third quarter that forced the Eagles to punt out of their own end and give the Vikings the ball at midfield. A third-and-2 sack early in the fourth quarter right after a Vikings touchdown made it a 34-22 game.A penalty on Foles for an illegal block, of all things, that negated an 18-yard touchdown run by Jackson on a double reverse and forced them to settle for another Henery field goal.Overthrown passes. Miscommunication between Foles and his receivers. Failure to convert, first, a third-and-1, then a fourth-and-1 at their own 24-yard line that essentially gave the Vikings three free points.A three-and-out and an interception by Foles on the Eagles' first two possessions of the second half, after they closed the gap to eight right before halftime. If it's possible to throw for 428 yards and three touchdowns and complete 62.5 percent of your passes (30-for-48) and not have had a particularly good game, that was Foles."We didn't get things going early on and that hurt the momentum of the team," Foles said. "We need to execute better early in the game to get the momentum."I just have to execute better. At times I missed some throws and made a few mistakes. As a quarterback you can't put yourself in a position where you throw an interception or whatever it may be."Asked about Foles' performance, Kelly said, "I don't think Nick . . . I don't think we played well on the offensive side of the ball. We were not on track and did not do what we normally do and what's led us."When we were 3-5 and kind of dug ourselves out of a hole there and we were playing well on the offensive side of the ball, we had a rhythm to what we were doing, and today we didn't."Nobody accepts blame like Foles. The man was born to be a Secret Service agent the way he steps in front of bullets."I definitely missed some throws," he said. "I was high on a few, inaccurate on a few. That's where you go back to the film and try to find out why that was and correct it and continue to work at it."You're not always going to play at an extremely high level. But I'm going to keep fighting. I'm going to keep playing for my teammates. I'm going to make mistakes. I'm not perfect by any means. But I'm going to keep fighting for the guys in that room because I love those guys."We'll get better because of this."This was the kind of day it was for Foles and the offense: On their first possession of the second quarter, he completed a terrific, 17-yard pass to Jackson as Vikings middle linebacker Audie Cole was bearing down on the quarterback. Got right up after taking a vicious lick and hit Jackson on a wheel route for 20 yards.Completed two more passes on the drive, then effectively cut down linebacker Erin Hender迷你倉on on the 18-yard touchdown run by Jackson. But you are not allowed to peel back and block a player below the waist. The touchdown was waved off."In the heat of battle I made a mistake," Foles said. "I was trying to make a block to help the team. But you can't turn back on someone and do that. I was at fault. The ref made the right call. I hurt my team. But it's a learning experience."This could have been a costly defeat. But the Cowboys' loss to the Packers' softened that somewhat. Turned it into what Foles hopes will be a learning experience, both for him and his teammates."We have a great fellowship of people in that locker room," the quarterback said. "At the end of the day, we're going to keep fighting. We're going to stick together. Because that's what the Philadelphia Eagles are. We're a team. We're a family."I'm excited to get back to work and analyze what went wrong and fix it. And I know the guys are too."DID YOU NOTICE?--The noise level in the Metrodome wasn't anywhere close to what it had been for previous Eagles-Vikings games. Might have had something to do with the 3-9-1 record the Vikings brought into the game.--The bad angle by safety Patrick Chung on Matt Cassel's 57-yard touchdown pass to Greg Jennings.--Fletcher Cox hit Cassel's arm before he threw the scoring pass to Jennings. But Cassel managed to hang on to the ball and get it away.--Two of the four sacks on Nick Foles occurred in the red zone. Foles had been sacked in the red zone just twice going into the game.--Foles had an impressive, 17-yard completion to DeSean Jackson early in second quarter. What was impressive about it was that linebacker Audie Cole was rushing unblocked right at Foles. He knew he was going to take a vicious hit, but never flinched and made an accurate throw.--DeSean Jackson lined up in the backfield a number of times. He ran a wheel route on a 20-yard completion in the second quarter.--The illegal peel-back block by Foles that cost the Eagles a touchdown in the second quarter.--Trent Cole's bad-awful drive in the second quarter. He had a neutral-zone infraction on a second-and-10 and then missed a tackle in the backfield on Cordarrelle Patterson on his 12-yard run on second-and-8 at the Philadelphia 24.--How close two different Vikings defenders came to tackling McCoy from behind on his 22-yard screen on the Eagles' final scoring drive of the first half. He motored away from both of them.--The nice job Foles did of escaping a rush and getting a strong, accurate throw to Jackson on a 21-yard completion late in the first half. The Eagles lined up Jackson in the backfield and running back Chris Polk wide on a 6-yard pass to Jackson on their final possession of the first half.--Vikings corner Shaun Prater played Foles' underthrown pass to Jackson in the third quarter better than Jackson did. Jackson didn't make much of an attempt to knock down the pass and prevent an interception.BY THE NUMBERS--When Blair Walsh missed a 55-yard field goal attempt on the Vikings' first possession, it marked the ninth straight game that the Eagles have not allowed any points to an opponent on their first possession of the game.--For the eleventh time in 14 games, the Eagles failed to score on their first possession.*Nick Foles has had five games with three or more touchdown passes this season. That's one shy of the club record of six set by Norm Snead in 1967.Foles has a 125.1 passer rating in his last six games. That's the highest six-game rating ever by an Eagles quarterback, surpassing 116.0 by Donovan McNabb in 2004.--DeSean Jackson had a career-high 10 catches against the Packers. He also was targeted a career-high 16 times. He has been targeted 117 times this season and has 75 catches for a career-high 64.1 percent target-to-catch rate.--Foles was 6-for-9 for 151 yards on third down against the Vikings, but also was sacked twice on third down. That equaled the number of times he had been sacked on third down this season.--The Vikings converted five of six red-zone opportunities against the Eagles into touchdowns. The Eagles had given up just four touchdowns in 15 previous red-zone challenges.--The Eagles committed nine penalties yesterday. It's just the second time in the last nine games that they've committed more than eight penalties in a game (nine vs. Dallas).--The Eagles had just one turnover. They've turned it over just three times in the last six games. Twelve of their 16 giveaways have come in losses -- five vs. the Chiefs, three against the Cowboys, three against the Giants and one against the Vikings.--Twenty of the Eagles' 42 touchdown drives have been four plays or less.--The Eagles collected 450-plus yards for the fifth time this season (475). It's the fifth time this season they've done it, tying the franchise record set in 1951 and 1963.*The Eagles became the fifth team in NFL history to register 400 yards in 11 games.--DeSean Jackson (1,275 receiving yards) and LeSean McCoy (1,343 rushing yards) became the Eagles' first-ever 1,200-yard rushing and receiving tandem.Email: pdomo@aol.comCopyright: ___ (c)2013 the Philadelphia Daily News Visit the Philadelphia Daily News at .philly.com Distributed by MCT Information Servicesmini storage
