"We fumbled twice inside the 10, and threw an interception -- we turned over the ball too many times."But we persevered and found a way to win."But despite the win, the Demons sustained a big blow in attempting to defend their district title -- they will be without Robert Corriz for one game. The junior quarterback was ejected after Santa Fe's final score for inappropriate conduct after his successful 2-point conversion run. He will miss next week's pivotal district matchup against Los Alamos.Holladay, however, remained hopeful."The theme of our season is 'Next man up,' " he said. "This one was not an injury; this one was a lack of self-control. But we'll find a way to get it done."Demons' senior backup quarterback Taylor Cherwinski is currently recovering from an injury, but may be cleared for next week's contest. If he can't go, freshman Adrian Blea will get his first start."I'm excited," Blea said. "I know we can step it up in practice and push ourselves to get it done. But Santa Fe countered with seven-play, 58-yard drive for its final score. Romero recorded his second score of the game, running the ball in from the 11-yard line.
