Source: Jordan Times, AmmanOct.儲存 04--AMMAN -- Six people, including three children, were killed late Wednesday in a road accident near Aqaba, official sources said.The accident, which occurred on the Aqaba highway near Bir Mathkour at around 10pm, also injured three other passengers, according to Civil Defence Department (CDD) and traffic officials.A taxi going to Aqaba collided with a passenger car that was heading to Amman, a spokesperson for the Central Traffic Department said."The taxi driver performed a sudden wrongful overtaking on a two-lane road, lost control of his vehicle, slammed into the street divider and crossed over to the other side, colliding head-on with the car coming from the opposite direction," the traffic official told The Jordan Times.The accident caused the death of five members of one family, including a six-month-old baby and two other children aged 10 and 15, according to a CDD official.The driver of the taxi survived but one passenger was killed and two others were also injured and listed in fair condition, according to the traffic official, who preferred anonymity.This is the second road accident within one month to claim the lives of an entire family.On September 3, five people, includ儲存倉ng a two-year-old child, were killed in a traffic accident that involved two vehicles near the capital's Sweileh neighbourhood.
