Source: Times Union, Albany, N.自存倉Y.Sept. 06--SCHENECTADY -- A city man has been charged with starting five fires, most at vacant buildings, over the past three years, according to court papers.Nathan Perkins, 20, was arraigned Friday in City Court on five arson counts that could result in a lengthy prison sentence. He was sent to the county jail without bail.In May 2010, he set fire to the site of the Old Whitehouse Flea Market at 952 State St., according to court papers.Perkins went to the abandoned structure, mixed diesel and oil, poured it in a puddle, and then left a trail of it into another room, and lit it with a match, documents state. He is charged with thi迷你倉新蒲崗d-degree arson for that blaze, which destroyed at least five smaller buildings.Additionally, Perkins is charged with four arson offenses for allegedly starting blazes at 1205 State St.; 28 Kelton Ave.; and 339 Paige St., all during a five-day span beginning on May 17, 2012, the court papers state.More recently, he stood in front of a vacant building at 499 Mumford St. on May 24 and sprayed lighter fluid on the door frame, the floor of the porch and into the house before lighting it on fire, records state.Copyright: ___ (c)2013 the Times Union (Albany, N.Y.)
